I've always wanted to paint a picture like this. . .

I'm trying a new painting technique with open canvas. I'm really liking it. It feels like I'm actually painting but without the mess.

The girl is no one in particular... maybe someone for my story idea. *shrug*

I don't know what it is... I love drawing little kids.
and having them -particularly little girls- starring in my stories.

Maybe because I wish I was like them? Or because they're not tainted by the worlds expectations of them and just... be themselves.

They're just so darn cute, too.
